One of our first participants, St Marys primary school were keen to have us as part of their award winning school travel plan and we were only too happy to oblige.
We ran a series of 5 sessions over 6 weeks (those pesky insect days) and had great weather for each session.
Our first session was maintenance. Not our best effort but we got by and I’m sure the children learnt something. We definitely did!
The next three sessions were Go-Ride sessions as one of our instructors is a level 2 coach for British Cycling. Up and down the playground we went in two groups: one of the younger kids and one of the elder. These were well received.
Our final session was a ride out along the towpath via Marble Hill Park which is right next door to the school. Great weather and we were accompanied by the delights of year 6 rehearsing for their upcoming show of Oliver. The denizens of the park were treated to “Consider yerself one of the family…” endlessly repeated!
They liked us so much, they asked us to come back. See our next St Marys post for more details.
Thank you St Marys!
